What is Hare Star?

Hare Star is a bespoke sustainable materials business. We create everything from Tote Bags to T-Shirts, Altar Mats to Scarves that feature sacred symbols, Celtic mythological creatures and even protective chickens!

What makes us different?

We offer affordable sustainable eco friendly clothing and accessories out of organic cotton and repurposed materials. Each item is completely unique. We believe in being ecologically responsible and respecting the planet. Our inks are eco friendly and imbued with crystal waters from sacred sites meant to aid in healing and raise energy vibrations.

Why I created Hare Star

I am passionate about bringing these symbols and stories to people who resonate with them. Growing up in Ireland I had the opportunity to learn about the amazing depth of symbology in Irish Mythology and as an artist I rediscovered the rich and powerful world of that Celtic Symbology in my work. Now I want to create something that combines my three passions, Sustainability, Affordability and Spirituality. I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoyed creating them.

A Little About Me

My name is Sylvia Callan  and I am the person behind Hare Star. I am a Visual Artist who graduated with a Masters from NCAD. I have worked in many areas of the arts including Film, Theatre, Clothing Design and the Visual Arts. I have exhibited countless times both in Ireland and abroad including an exhibition held in various sacred sites all over Ireland. I have been active in the Irish Arts scene for the last two decades.
